Poro Snax (For Breakfast)
Ingredients
- Puff Pastry with Butter
- Molasses
- Egg yolk
- Labneh cheese
- Red candy / M&Ms (Strawberries, cherries, or red bell peppers also work—feel free to add whatever you like!)
Instructions
- Take two rectangular pieces of puff pastry and press them together. Cut them in half to form a square shape.
- Use a glass to cut out a circular shape from the pastry. Then, lightly score a circular pattern on top.
- Mix the molasses and egg yolk together. Brush this mixture over your prepared puff pastry pieces.
- Place them in a preheated oven at 180°C to 200°C (350°F – 400°F). Bake for 15-20 minutes, checking occasionally.
- Once baked, you can spread labneh cheese on top. For the filling, you can add boiled eggs or “sucuk” (Turkish garlic sausage).
- The rest is up to your imagination. Enjoy!
